The DAILY L2 is a stackable chair which is a new addition to the DAILY furniture collection, designed for the South Korean lifestyle brand LIKETHIX. In line with the brand's philosophy of promoting a 'mindful life,' we aimed to create a chair that feels 'normal' yet 'special.' The DAILY L2 features a general aesthetic but offers an unexpected level of comfort. The DAILY L2 seamlessly blends into everyday life, making it suitable for both home environments and public spaces such as restaurants, educational institutions, and workplaces.
Since Arne Jacobsen designed the Series 7 for Fritz Hansen, countless chairs featuring bent plywood and metal legs have emerged. In designing a new chair with bent plywood and metal legs for LIKETHIX, we focused not on creating a new form for cutting the bent plywood, but rather on redefining the relationship between the bent plywood and the metal legs. Typically, the pipe leg structures combined with bent plywood are processed through bending. However, the DAILY L2 chair is processed through welding, offering a new aesthetic.
